Mencap Liverpool is now on the 4th Floor of Federation House, which is next to the Philharmonic Hall on Hope Street.  Our lovely new office is much bigger so we can offer lots more to our members, including a range of office based volunteering opportunities.

We now have a resource area where you will be able to look through useful infomation or use the internet.

We also have a small, quiet, comfortable room (called ‘The Snug’), for people to talk about difficult issues or just have a relaxing chat.

As we have more desks, we can accomodate people undertaking work placements and work experience.  We hope that not only will we be able to provide more for members now as a result, but we will also be able to help the professionals of the future to work with people with learning disabilities in positive, empowering ways.

We are a short walk from either cathedral and there are lots of nice cafes and restaurants close by.

 

 

Parking

There is lots of onstreet carparking available and there is often space right outside the building.  It is 70p per half hour for a maximum stay of 2 hours.  If you have a Blue Badge, there is reserved free parking in Caledonia st (the side st shown in the lefthand side of this picture).

On Tuesday 15th June we are holding Afternoon Tea for Carers, as part of Carers Week.  All are welcome, but carers will get special recognition!  Please come along any time between 2-4pm.

On Friday 25th June we are holding an Infomation and Coffee Morning.  All are welcome to have a look round the new office and find out what help and support we can provide.  There’ll be tea, coffee, juice and cakes on offer between 10am-1pm.
