I was excited and nervous about coming to the Museum with Hailey and meeting the other volunteers. I didn’t know what I should do at first but Hailey explained to me and gave me a green Mencap Liverpool T-shirt. I felt fantastic about it then. I was giving out leaflets and explaining to people about ticket to ride and about learning disabilities. I asked people to have a go of ticket to ride and to tell us what they thought.

It made me feel really confident doing the volunteering. I walked around the museum all day without my trolley and even went outside without it which I never do. At the end of the day I went home by myself which is a big thing for me as I get very anxious. I have been back to the museum again and I am getting more confident. I am going to volunteer every Monday. I love it.
