The Mencap Liverpool trustee board met at the Gateway Centre, London Road on 28th September 2009. The trustees was attending were Ed Gilchrist, Ed Walker, John Courtney, Peter Cowan, Rod Wilson and Alan Griffiths (Find out more about the trustees). The chief executive of Mencap Liverpool, Sarah Jones and the Project co-ordinator of the Employment Service, TNeil Johnson, were also in attendance.

Neil Johnnson presented on the Employment Service and informed the trustees that the service was struggling due to the economic climate. He also raised concerns over the future funding of the service.

Sarah Jones gave a short presentation on the draft strategic plan for Mencap Liverpool that detailed what the organisation would look like in 2013.

The trustees discussed the delivery of the Circles project and the current position of the organisation over the Service Level Agreement with Liverpool City Council.

The next trustees meeting is Monday 2nd November 2009.

The trustees are responsible for the direction of Mencap Liverpool, ensuring it complies with all relevant legislation and representing your views as members of Mencap Liverpool.
