Hi everyone

Over the last 4 months I’ve been writing a campaigns pack for Mencap Liverpool.  I’ve tried to make the information more accessible for people with a learning disability.

Mencap Liverpool is holding an event today, Tuesday 24th July, to formally launch the pack and explore together, ways of involving and encouraging people learning disability in campaigning.

The pack aims to signpost anybody reading it – particularly those with a learning  disability – to different ways of campaigning and the various organisations on the many issues that do it, such as Mencap, Disabled People Against Cuts (DPAC), Fathers For Justice and Amnesty International.

I hope that the way I’ve written my pack will make understanding campaigning easier.  I want it to encourage individuals including those with a  learning disability to participate with campaign groups

The pack will  available from our campaigns page later today,  for everybody to read.
