On Thursday 24^th November 2011 I went with Lois and volunteers from Mencap Liverpool to play pool at Rileys. There were about 10 of us in total. We chose to play in pairs – my pool partner was Jamie who turned out to be a very good player. The first match was against Lois and Jen, and we were very unlucky to lose this, as I potted the cue ball together with the black ball at the end. We took turns playing every pair, so everyone had a few games to play, and towards the end we won four games in a row, mostly thanks to Jamie’s excellent pool skills. In the last match he potted six balls in a row.

I really enjoyed the afternoon. I have been to Rileys twice before and enjoy the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. You are able to order food and drink there. I hope to go back there again soon.
