The summer edition of Carers News has hailed the 2009 National Carers Week a success in Liverpool.

Over 300 carers came together at St George’s Hall on June 9th 2009 to celebrate the week.

Staff from Liverpool Carers Centre were there to offer information and carers were able to try out equipment from the gym based at the CarersCentre. Among the many other were Liverpool PCT, Liverpool City Council, Alzheimer’s Society, Crossroads, Lifehouse, Barnado’s and many, many more.

The latest edition of Carers News also includes a call for volunteers to help at Royal Liverpool Hospital, the launch of a carers reference group and details of the next meeting of the Learning Disabilities North West Regional Family Forum.
