Mencap Personal Budget Survey

Mencap want to hear from adults with a learning disability and their families about their experience of personal budgets

Personal budgets and direct payments are meant to give people more choice and control over their care.  They are an important part of the Government’s strategy for people who receive social care from their local council.  More and more people with a learning disability now receive their care this way.

Mencap want to understand if personal budgets and direct payments are improving things.  We want to hear if the process of receiving a personal budget is easy or hard.  We want to know what support people need to make the personal budget process easier.

Your views are important – Mencap will use the results of this survey to plan new services to help people manage their personal budgets and it will help with Mencap’s campaigning work.

The survey will take no more than 20 minutes to complete.
