Last week 8 of our members traveled to Wirral Mencap to take part in a Changing Attitudes Workshop.

Ian Whinstanley from Mencap had organised the workshops to talk to members of Mencap Liverpool and Mencap Wirral to find out about their experiences and also give them them the opportunity to share their ideas on how we can change attitudes towards learning disability.

The members had a great day and shared lots of stories and experiences and supported each other throughout.

Ian later said;
We have a system within Mencap for recognizing when our staff and volunteers are really living out values, which are being caring, positive, trustworthy, challenging or inclusive. We call this system You Rock!
Last week your members demonstrated all these values – they truly rocked.
