Today is the start of Learning Disability Week 2015…….

This week will raise awareness of learning disability. There are around  1.4 million people in the UK with a learning disability. Mencap Liverpool work to improve the lives of people in Liverpool living with a learning disability.

Throughout the week Mencap Liverpool we be at the Museum of Liverpool as we launch Ticket to Ride and raise awareness of Learning Disability. Ticket to Ride is an interactive exhibition which gives people the experience of using public transport from the viewpoint of a person with a learning disability.

We will be joined at the Museum of Liverpool by some of our members on Tuesday we will be joined by our Liver Birds group and our Social group will be helping out on Wednesday.
