It was good to see what doctors and nurses already knew about people with a learning disability. It was good to meet people and talk about my experience with doctors or in hospital, so that they can take it back to their work. I’ve also learnt how to spell profession ha ha…..

Sarah has asked me and Ann Marie to represent Mencap Liverpool. I felt good about that and it was something I really wanted to do. I didn’t feel nervous because I am used to talking to different people. I want to help other disabled people and want to make a difference, so this seemed like a good thing to do.
