Help keep our members on the move – become a Volunteer Travel Buddy!
You can make a difference to the life of someone with a learning disability, and help them become an independent traveller, by becoming a Volunteer Travel Buddy.
Many people with a learning disability face barriers to using public transport, meaning that they are unable to travel on their own. With the right support, we know that people with a learning disability can learn to travel independently. We are currently looking for people to buddy up with some of our members as they build their confidence and learn new skills.
If you are friendly, reliable and patient, and would like to make a difference, then this could be the volunteering role for you.
This is a temporary voluntary position, each Wednesday (1-3pm), between January-March 2014.
For full details of the role, and what would be expected of you, download the Volunteer Travel Buddy Information Sheet here.
