There are so many fantastic people and organisations who help us each and every day – without your support we would not be able to make a difference to the lives of people with a learning disability in Liverpool.

So we thought we’d dedicate this part of our website to you…

The first half of 2016 has seen our members, supporters and staff take part in a variety of wonderful events, to raise money for Mencap Liverpool. Our very own pop star competition, Liverpool Idol returned, sponsored by Medicash raising £8,773. The winners were Phil and Ben representing Hill Dickinson. Our Comedy Night, sponsored by Spectra Construction once again held at LEAF on Bold St raised a smile and £2,071. The ‘Peaky Climbers’ group of friends took part in the National 3 Peaks Challenge, raising  £1,851.

Our Bucket Collections continue to be a success raising £1,954.06 so far in 2016. A big thank you to all of the supermarkets, ASDA Breck Rd, Tesco Park Rd, Tesco Hanover St and Tesco Deysbrook Barracks that have supported us, as well as to Merseyrail who continue to allow us to collect in their station.

We continue to be supported by local Trusts and Foundations with £6,900 so far in 2016. A big thank you to the Lord Cozens Hardy Trust, P.H. Holt Foundation, Mason Bibby Trust, David Wilson Homes, Carillion and Skelton Bounty Trust.

Our Regular givers continue to support us with their monthly donations and we have also had support from Golf Clubs, Rotary clubs, Businesses, individuals and gifts in memory of loved ones.

The second half of the year will continue to be busy, with two of our trustees taking part in epic challenges during the summer- The Ride London 100 mile cycle and a mammoth sunrise to sunset swim!

Participants are lined up to abseil for us, take part in a groovy 60’s night and our second annual ‘Ginasium’ event will be held with 60 Hope St.
