Mencap Liverpool join forces with National Mencap to support the Hardest Hit campaign

Mencap Liverpool campaigns to ensure that people with a learning disability are valued equally, listened to and included. Our recent campaigns have focused around topics such as hate crime, cuts to local authority services (‘the hardest hit’) and the standard of hospital care.

Our investigation in to the treatment of people with a learning disability in NHS Hospitals across Merseyside has been published in national journals. Since 2010 we have been working proactively alongside senior managers of these NHS Trusts to implement changes that have benefited people with a learning disability in their care.
