Would you like to get more involved in your community and make new friends?

Mencap Liverpool are looking for people of ALL ages to join our valued team of volunteer befrienders.

Volunteer befrienders dedicate a couple of hours a week / fortnight to making friends with someone with a learning disability.

You might meet for coffee, go for a walk or pop out for lunch.

As a volunteer befriender, you can help someone gain more confidence, greater independence and a better social life!

Paul, 54, meets with Kevin every week. He said: “After a couple of months I got to know Kevin well. I thought he was excellent! He became a real friend – and I was getting out the house a lot more.”
