Last week staff and volunteers attended the Northwest Volunteer Celebration Event held at York Racecourse. The event was held to honour, celebrate and congratulate the work of Mencap volunteers across the Northwest.

We were asked to nominate volunteers which itself was a difficult task as we have so many wonderful volunteers but after much discussion we narrowed it down and nominated 4 people.

Jenny, Billy, Abi and Helen were all invited to attend the celebration event and were presented with certificates to recognise their volunteering which has such a fantastic impact for our members.

A great day was had by all and it was also a fantastic opportunity to meet volunteers from across the Northwest share ideas and be inspired by al the different stories on the day.
