Calling all Carers – would you like to work with The Challenging Behaviour Foundation
Mencap Liverpool have been made aware of an opportunity for carers to use their experience and knowledge to become an Expert by Experience Family Carer for the Challenging Behaviour Foundation.
This paid position would work in partnership with Care Quality Commission as part of their inspection team and contributing to their other activities.
The Challenging Behaviour Foundation are looking for family carers of people aged 16 years or over with a learning disability and behaviour described as challenging and/or mental health needs or profound and multiple learning disabilities.
You need to have significant, practical experience of caring for your relative who must have recent experience (within the last 5 years) of using services inspected by the Care Quality Commission.
This is a paid role (£17 per hour) with full training and induction provided.
Frequency of work is dependent on the requirements of the Care Quality Commission
Travel will be required and expenses will be reimbursed.
Financial support to help with replacement carer costs can be made available.
