Brian’s Blog: An Evening at Host

On Wednesday 14th March I went out for a very enjoyable meal at Host Restaurant in Hope Street. This was an opportunity for me to meet new and existing volunteers from Mencap Liverpool. I met some volunteers outside the Mencap Liverpool office at 6.00pm and then we walked and met other people at the restaurant.

Before I decided on what I would like to order various nibbles were brought to the tables. These included prawn crackers and popcorn. After a while of chatting to other people I was ready to order my food. I had a set menu to choose from. I chose pork belly in hoi sin sauce accompanied with coconut rice. I found the quality of the service and the food to be of a very high quality. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and would recommend it to other people. I hope to go back there again sometime in the future.
