On 12^th August 2011 I had an enjoyable afternoon at an allotment in North Sudley Road. I was invited there by a lovely man called George, who wanted us to help clear out the weeds and plan items in his plot.

I found this to be very therapeutic and enjoyable, despite the heavy rain. There were quite a few weeds to be cleared first. Next the soil had to be turned over and watered before the new items could be planted. These were leeks and rhubarb.

I look forward to going back to the allotment sometime next year and viewing the progress of the plot.
