Brian enjoys running club

Since December 2014 I have been attending a running club, which meets at Stanley Park.

This is usually attended by about 6-8 people and is well enjoyed. Before we start running we do a warm up. This involves gentle jogging up and down the car park, and some light stretching.

After that we split into small groups based on our abilities. Each group tries to stick together and encourages the other members. After we have finished running we do a cool down, followed by light stretching, in order to prevent any injuries.
Since I have been attending the running group I have noticed an improvement in the effort and times that the members have produced, as well as an improvement in their confidence. This has encouraged me a lot. It has also helped to improve my fitness levels, in order to compete in events such as the Liverpool Half Marathon.
