Access to Heritage featured in Access by Design magazine
Mencap Liverpool’s Access to Heritage project has been featured in the Centre for Accessible Environments magazine, Access by Design, as an example of how heritage venues can improve their access for people with learning disability.
The article is about creating easy read documents and how the Access to Heritage project came up with guidelines on accessible venues that are now being looked at by venues across the UK.
There is also an interview with Ticky Lowe, project co-ordinator of Access to Heritage, about why the project was setup and what it has achieved so far.
